Meet the Sound Shore Moms!
Who am I?
Jill Gamble, Original founder of Harrison Moms and Co-founder of the Sound Shore Moms and proud member of The Local Moms Network !
A little about me?
36 years old, living in Harrison, New York with my husband (Dave) and our 3 children, Charlie(4) and Violet (2), Wynne (0). Not to forget our loyal bulldog named Artie (after Artie Lang my husband is a Howard Stern nut), and rescued cat named Lags.
Why the Sound Shore?
Born and raised a Connecticut girl, but my husband’s roots are in Westchester. So although we love Connecticut, we wanted a little change of scenery and Harrison was always at the forefront of our mind.
One thing people would be surprised to know about me ?
I have a slight obsession with shelves. Mostly bookshelves. But I could stare at design pictures of how people organize their shelves for hours! Also, if you know me well you know I have a deep love for Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. I’m pretty sure I was meant to be born a couple decades earlier.
Anyone special I’d like to thank ?
My mom would be the obvious answer here, but honestly, my husband is a gem. Best partner and father and just all around great guy that everyone wants to be around. Then my parents, who at the drop of a dime, will help me whenever I need it .. and not because they have to but because they just adore being with their grandbabies.
Favorite thing to do with my kids ?
Dance, sing and play instruments, cook and go to the beach.
Favorite thing to do without my kids ?
Most moms would say catch up with friends but me, I crave some alone time. Whether it’s shopping or getting current with my favorite shows (Real Housewives, Fixer Upper, Curb Your Enthusiasm) … it’s a great way for me to hit the reset button.
Tips on motherhood ?
Still learning! But patience truly is a virtue.
